Inside the kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

Icicles! Dripping out of my downspout! In Sacramento!

(Reblogged from neftos)

I’m pondering doing a dye/spin/weaving study using kaleidoscope photos for inspiration.

Self portrait.

This is my very first shawl and still one of my favorite pieces to wear. I made it during my first weaving class, September 2008!

Warp: color mix of Harrisville Shetland

Weft: Araucania wool with leftover Malabrigo wool contast blocks.

85” x 20” not including fringe. Pretty close to a balanced weave.
